About Ehgzli - Our story, mission, and team

How Ehgzli began

Ehgzli was born in Riyadh in 2023, founded by three healthcare and engineering professionals who had spent over a decade watching MENA patients struggle with fragmented booking systems, clinics drowning in paperwork, and pricing opacity that eroded trust.

The moment that crystallized our purpose: a family member needed a specialist appointment. Across seven phone calls to four clinics, nobody could quote a price, confirm a time, or explain insurance coverage. Three weeks later, the condition had worsened. We knew this was not a marketing problem - it was an infrastructure problem.

We chose to build differently: open source (AGPLv3), bilingual day-one (Arabic-first, not Arabic-translated), and radically transparent about pricing, data, and decisions. We chose Frappe and ERPNext as our foundation because they belong to the community, not to a venture-capital roadmap that might leave the region behind.

Today, Ehgzli serves clinics across Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, and growing. We are certified by ZATCA (Saudi Arabia) and ETA (Egypt) as approved e-invoicing providers. We have grown without sacrificing the principles that made us start: patients are always free, clinics get fair pricing, and every line of our platform is auditable.
